THA Interdepartment Personality & Calypso Competition 2017

A male has been crowned Inter Department Personality for another consecutive year. This time, taking the title and eight thousand dollars ($8,000.00) was Travis Sebro, representing the Division of Finance and the Economy. Mr. Sebro had the crowd quite amused as he performed a comical talent piece and then in awe as he portrayed a one hundred dollar bill in his Carnival wear. The Division of Community Development, Enterprise Development and Labour’s representative, Rauf Celestine took the second position and was named as the contestant with the Best Talent piece. Aniecia Baptiste of the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation placed third and won the Best Carnival Wear segment.

In the calypso segment, Darcelle Precious Dumas of the Division of Education, Innovation and Energy and the Division of Youth Affairs and Sport won the Inter Department Calypso Competition. Settling for the second position was Yvonne Duke of the Division of Food Production and Fisheries, while the Division of Settlements, Urban Renewal and Public Utilities’ Merlisa Thomas captured the third spot.

The theme for this year’s Inter Department Personality and Calypso Competition was “Glance Back, Leap Forward”.
