Cari Jazz 2016

Barbadian saxophonist Arturo Tappin opened Cari Jazz of the Tobago Jazz Experience 2016 with a thrilling, intimate performance for patrons of the event, on Saturday April 23rd at the Pigeon Point Heritage Park. Arturo Tappin and his band performed a number of songs, from Jazz to R&B. However, all had one thing in common, it engaged the packed audience as fans danced and sang along throughout his performance.

Trumpeter and bandleader, Etienne Charles, who believes jazz is creole music, did not disappoint. He too had a lively performance. Also gracing the stage at Cari Jazz 2016 were local rapso group, 3 Canal and Jamaican reggae band, Third World, who closed the show with their groovy music.

Cari Jazz is a new feature of the Tobago Jazz Experience and is a fusion of Caribbean and Jazz music.
