Jazz in the East 2016…

The Tobago Jazz Experience 2016 has officially started. Thousands of people converged at the Speyside Recreational Grounds for Jazz in the East last Saturday. The spectacular concert featured many artistes, but the headline act David Rudder, who belted out hits like “Whey D Man With D Hammer Gone”, “Sweet, Sweet T&T”, “Rally Round The West Indies”, had the crowd singing along line after line.

The atmosphere at Jazz in the East was filled with energy throughout the show. There were also performances by Patrice Roberts, Benjai, Blaax and Roy Cape and Farmer Nappy. Tobagonian artistes weren’t left out, as the Tobago Jazz Experience moreover aims to expose the talent of local performers. Hitting the stage and moving the crowd with the sound of every beat were the band OMG, Freedom Street out of Lanse Fourmi, Arita Edmund, and Tobago Soca Monarch 2016 Gerard Balfour.

The Tobago Jazz Experience continues until April 24th.
